Galeria Canalejas opens the doors of its long-awaited gastronomic space, which occupies more than 4,000 m2 of this new icon of luxury and gastronomy in Madrid. This space is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility and is located on the emblematic Calle Alcalá. The Food Hall Galeria Canalejas has a total of 13 restaurants of different styles and nationalities, among which stand out the concepts that renowned chefs have designed exclusively for this unique gastronomic experience in the city.
How is this Canalejas Gallery that totals 15,000 square meters in three heights (the top two, dedicated to the world of shopping, with large fashion houses and high jewelry that will finish arriving next spring, and the underground one for gastronomy)?
This new icon of luxury and gastronomy in Madrid occupies a space of more than 4,000 m2 in which we find thirteen restaurants of different styles and nationalities, among which stand out the concepts created by the Michelin-starred chef Julián Mármol, who inaugurated two restaurants: Monchis, a surprising crossroads between Japan and Mexico; and The Eight, in which the grill - with the use of traditional Binchotan charcoal from Japan - is the common thread to redefine traditional snacks such as hamburgers or sandwiches, squeezing their full potential.
Another of the protagonists of this gastronomic space is chef Rubén Arnanz, also with a Michelin star, who brings with him the essence of his Castilian cuisine to Madrid with the opening of his boutique restaurant 19.86.
Luxury national gastronomy
The Food Hall Galeria Canalejas also has a great representation of Spanish gastronomy with Iberian products, sausages, cheeses and the best tasting of national wineries in DBellota, which for the first time and exclusively for Galería Canalejas comes hand in hand with Cinco Jotas for its Iberian and meat; the great variety of rice dishes and paellas from the iconic St. James rice bar in Madrid; Garelos and his modernized vision of traditional Galician gastronomy; or El Goloso, as one of the best exponents of traditional Spanish pastries.
The wildest side of Japanese gastronomy comes from the hand of the Venezuelan chef Fermín Azkue with Salvaje, where Japanese cuisine is mixed with flavors and techniques from all over the world. On the other hand, Le Petit Dim Sum is the new concept of the China Crown group that opens its doors in this gastronomic space, bringing the millenary tradition of Chinese cuisine to the heart of Madrid with its artisan dim sums.
